U-14B Thunderbolts
co-champs in Delco
In a dramatic Delco championship game, the U-14 Thunderbolts boys team tied the
Concord Dynamo 2-2 to become co-champions of their division. Down 2-0 at
halftime, the Thunderbolts tied the game in the second half and then battled
with the Dynamo through two overtimes to lay claim to the co-champion title.

U-10 Green Hornets win
first two 2009 tourneys
The Green Hornets spent
their 2009 Labor Day weekend rafting some Class II rapids on the
Lehigh River and
then took home first place at the Whitewater Cup Classic Tourney. The girls
played up in a U10/U11 bracket. Then on Columbus Day weekend they won the Delco
Tournament by notching 4 straight shut outs. Between the two tournaments, the
Hornets outscored their competition by 29 to 4 goals
U-12 Girls Strikers
place 2nd at
Ridley
Congratulations to the SCCSA U-12 Strikers Girls, who placed second in the Ridley United
Soccer 2009 Invitational Soccer Tournament, Aug. 8.
U-15B Girls finish
2nd in two
tourneys
The SCCSA Girls U-15B team had two great April
tournaments. They finished 2nd in the Robert Urban Memorial Tourney on April 11
and 2nd in the Hunter Meckes Memorial Tourney April 19. Great job!
U-9 Boys Celtic FC
win tourney
title
Division
Champions !! Congratulations to the SCCSA U9 boys travel team, Celtic FC, who
won their division at the Robert Urban Memorial soccer tournament. The Celtics
won all three of their matches, outscoring opponents 10-0 on the day. It was one
to remember, in pouring rain, wind and mud just about everywhere!
